KESWICK AND DISTRICT DARTS LEAGUE

JENNINGS SHIELD KNOCKOUT COMPETITION

The semi final and final stages of the Jennings Shield were played on Sunday evening at the Twa Dogs by kind invitation of Marjorie and Peter Harding.

Both semi finals were keenly contested with Siennas B comprehensively beating  Cons Club by 5-1 in the all Premier League tie. The other tie featured the A leagues only representative The Salutation B, they narrowly lost 5-4 to the Wheatsheaf, Lorton despite the performance of the night from Baz Hebson who checked out his game in 18 darts.

After a short break for supper generously provided by the hosts, the competition final saw some very good darts played before the Wheatsheaf Lorton ran out 5-3 winners.

The presentation of the Shield to the Wheatsheaf captain Tony Norman followed with Twa Dogs landlord Peter Harding making the award.

This was the 57th year that

Jennings has sponsored the trophy.
